Everpad... An easy way to get your notes from Evernote

Everpad, is an unofficial Evernote client for Linux.
With this app you have a quick access to all your notes that you have in Evernote account.

Everpad brought to the Linux community an easy, and quick access to your notes from Evernote (until now, they not have an application or intend to develop an application for Linux). 
If you are expecting a interface kinda like the Evernote, you going to be disappointed. Everpad interface is minimal, and lightweight but easy to work, that allows you create, edit a manage your notes. 

Although this application can be installed on several distributions and desktop environments, has a special flavor to Ubuntu more precisely on the Unity desktop environment
So, what has special about ?

First of all, integration with Unity lens

You can easily search on the dashboard, for your notes ( even if your note is from a year ago). It's very useful, and practical when we have a large volume of notes saved in our account.

With drop-down menu, you have easy access to all your notes, synchronise to your Evernote account, and also allows you launch the window manager for Everpad

Technical Specs

Everpad is written in Python, and is designed to integrate Unity desktop. It runs on Debian ( it needs some extra files, and some tweaks to work properly), Ubuntu, Arch and their derivatives.
The last release of Everpad is 2.5.7, and in Ubuntu is available to install from a PPA.

To Install in Ubuntu and derivatives
( 11.04 / 11.10 / 12.04 / 12.10 /13.04 / 13.10 / 14.04 available for 32-bit and 64-bit processor )

In order to get a successful installation, you just press Ctrl+Alt+T on keyboard to open terminal and run commands below one by one.
  • sudo apt-add-repository ppa:nvbn-rm/ppa
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install everpad
