Install Selene, on Debian, Ubuntu and Arch based systems.


As mention on our article of Selene, this is a lightweight application with a simple interface, and it's converts quite easy the the most popular media files.

It's also quite simple, and quick to install Selene. Depending on system, and your processor architecture, open terminal ( press Ctrl+Alt+T), and follow the steps as shown bellow, to install the app.


On
Ubuntu based systems
This app, is available for 32-bit and 64-bit.
Copy the follow command lines one by one, and paste on the terminal
  • sudo apt-add-repository -y ppa:teejee2008/ppa
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install selene
On
Debian based systems

For 32-bit processor
Copy the follow command lines one by one, and paste on the terminal
  • wget -O selene-latest-i386.deb http://goo.gl/bBhgUl
  • dpkg -i selene-latest-i386.deb
  • sudo apt-get install -f
For 64-bit processor
Copy the follow command lines one by one, and paste on the terminal
  • wget -O selene-latest-amd64.deb http://goo.gl/bBhgUl
  • dpkg -i selene-latest-amd64.deb
  • sudo apt-get install -f
On
Arch based systems
Copy the follow command line, and paste on the terminal
  • yaourt -S selene-media-encoder-bzr
