What is it...
Selene it's a Linux app for converting audio / video files. This is a lightweight application with a simple interface, and it's quite easy converting the popular media files. In fact, you only need to choose the file, and the encode to the format that you want, that's it!

Who is behind of the development...
Selene it's developed and supported, by same guy that is responsible by the Conky Manager application, Tony George ( also known as - TeeJee ). He's a software developer, working on programming and technology, in India.
Tested, and recommended ?
This is one of those cases, that we don't have to install and test for one or two weeks. We already have the application installed for a long time, and we only can recommend to do the same.
Selene has a very simple but very intuitive graphical interface, where in just three steps you have your file(s) converted.
Regarding the formats, the application covers a large part of the popular use, from audio to video. The only issue, it's the AAC/MP4 format. If you are encoding to AAC/MP4, you need to install from a third- party repository, because Selene it works with NeroAAC encoder.
