In this article, we show you step by step the procedure to install Plank Settings, for take control and manage your Plank dock.

Plank Settings it's a small and simple configuration tool, that allows you to manage and config your Plank dock. With this tool, you can manage:
  • The theme of the dock
  • The size of the icons
  • The hide mode of the dock
  • The position of the screen
  • The alignment
  • The dock presence in the workspaces
  • Lock the icons
  • Pressure reveal

This is the early stages of this tool, and as the developer mention on the is webpage, it may have some bugs. For that reason, we have tested and used Plank Settings on Xubuntu 14.10 for a quite while, and until now this tool don't gave any problems.

In our article to How to... Change themes on Plank ! we already show, how to config Plank on Ubuntu based systems, but in this particular case using a terminal with command lines. Despite being an easy, and fast process isn't as intuitive and eye-candy as using the interface of Plank Settings.
