YaRock... How to install on Ubuntu based systems -:-:- ( UPDATED October 24, 2015 )

one of the best OpenSource music players available...

YaRock, it's a music player with a modern, and clean design. This music player, also work's with on-line radios like, TuneIn, Shoutcast and Dirble.

Today, we are showing how to install on Ubuntu based systems, since it's not included by default in Ubuntu's repos, and this is the easiest way (in only three steps), to install on your system:



How to install on Ubuntu based systems?
Like: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, ubuntu-Gnome, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, elemntaryOS, LinuxLite, etc...
( On October 24, 2015  "1.1.4"  is the latest version available )

  • 1st Step -  Adding Repository   ( copy and paste the follow command lines, one by one into the terminal
    • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
  • 2nd Step - Update System
    • sudo apt-get update
  • 3rd Step - Installing Yarock
    • sudo apt-get install yarock

If for any reason, you aren't satisfied with this application, you can always remove it. 
Just copy and paste the follow command line, into the terminal.
For this operation, you need to have " PPA-PURGE " pre-installed on your system. You can easily install by this command line: sudo apt-get install ppa-purge

  • To remove the Yarock
    • sudo apt-get purge yarock
  • To remove the PPA
    • sudo ppa-purge ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8


And, that's it!
Select your track, and enjoy your music...

1st Step
  • Open a terminal, and copy and paste the the follow command line
    • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:samrog131/ppa
This command line, will install the repository on our system 
2nd Step
  • Copy the second command line, and paste on the terminal
    • sudo apt-get update
This command line, will update your system with the new repository
3th Step
  • Copy the third command line, and paste on the terminal
    • sudo apt-get install yarock
This command line, will install YaRock on your system
