Pushbullet Indicator... How to install on Ubuntu based systems

This is a small tutorial, showing how to install this application on systems based on Ubuntu.

"Pushbullet-Indicator" received a major update, and it's now possible send SMS, reply to "Whatsapp", "Telegram" and even Messages from your Ubuntu based system. It's also possible to send files, directly from Nautilus or Nemo file manager with "Pushbullet-Indicator".

This app, can be easily installed manually, via PPA for Ubuntu based systems, and I'm currently testing on Manjaro 0.12 to post later with the all experience.

Only thing you must already have, its to pre-install the app on your smartphone or tablet, and create account on " Pushbullet ".

How to install on Ubuntu based systems
Trusty Tahr - 14.04LTS   |   Utopic Unicorn - 14.10   |   Vivid Vervet - 15.04  |  Wily Werewolf - 15.10  |  Xenial Xerus - 16.04LTS
Like: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, ubuntu-Gnome, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Linux-Mint. elemntaryOS, LinuxLite, etc...
both 32-bit and 64-bit

Adding a PPA
  • 1st Step
    • Open a terminal, and copy and paste the the follow command line
      This action, will add the ppa to your system repository
      • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/atareao

  • 2nd Step 
    • Copy the second command line, and paste on the terminal
      This action, will update your system repository
      • sudo apt-get update

  • 3th Step 
    • Copy the third command line, and paste on the terminal
      This action, will install Pushbullet Indicator in to your system
      • sudo apt-get install pushbullet-indicator

And, that's it!
Just launch "Pushbullet-Indicator", and enjoy it...

It's an app for Ubuntu created by the developers team from atareao,  to facilitate the use of the " Pushbullet " services on Ubuntu based systems. According to the author, the Pushbullet Indicator works well in Unity interface, KDE, Cinnamon, LXDE, Xfce ... among others..
