Liferea... How to install on the main Linux distros!



On this small tutorial, we show how to install Liferea in the main Linux distros, using a Terminal as our main tool to install.

       Liferea is lightweight news aggregator for online feeds, with a friendly user interface which you only need a few steps to install new feeds.

Without further delay...

How to install on Arch based systems?
Like: Arch Linux, Manjaro, Antergos Archbang, ApricityOS, etc...
  • 1st Way
    • sudo pacman -S liferea
  • 2nd Way
    • yaourt liferea
      • Then choose the number of the file to install,  and press Enter, ( usually is the first < 1 > the file to appear )
      • Follow the instructions to finish the install


How to install on Debian based systems?
Like: Debian, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, ubuntu-Gnome, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, elemntaryOS, LinuxLite, SolydXK, Semplice, Neptune, etc...

Open your terminal, then copy and paste the follow command line
    • sudo apt-get install liferea


How to install on Fedora based systems?
Like: Fedora, Korora Project, Hanthana Linux, Pidora, Chapeau, etc...

Open your terminal, then copy and paste the follow command lines
    • sudo yum liferea
    • sudo dnf install liferea


How to install on Mageia based systems?
Like: Mageia, OpenMandriva Rosa,  etc...

Open your terminal, then copy and paste the follow command lines
    • su urpmi liferea


How to install on openSuse based systems?
Like: openSuse, Gecko Linux, Linkat  etc...

Open your terminal, then copy and paste the follow command lines
    • su zypper install liferea
