DeaDBeef 0.7.0... How to install on Ubuntu based systems

On this small tutorial, we show how to install DeaDBeeF 0.7.0 on Ubuntu based systems, using a Terminal as our main tool to install.

Brief introduction...

       DeaDBeeF Player is a free, useful Music and Audio application, for an easy playback of music and playlist management. This player uses few system resources, so its great for low end systems or people wanting a media player to use as few resources as possible, but, with support for the major audio codecs.

Without further delay...

How to install on Ubuntu 12.04 > 15.10 based systems?
Like: Ubuntu Family, LinuxMint, elementaryOS, LinuxLite, etc...

       Note: This procedure will add a third party repository to your system.

Open your terminal, then copy and paste the follow commands lines
    • To install for the first time
      • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:starws-box/deadbeef-player
      • sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install deadbeef

    • To upgrade from a previous version
      • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:starws-box/deadbeef-player
      • sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

    If you aren't happy with this new version, you can always remove it.
      • sudo ppa-purge ppa:starws-box/deadbeef-player
