MintStick... How to install it on Debian

Today, I'll show you how to install latest version of MintStick ( v. 1.3.5 ) on Debian based systems, using a Terminal as main tool to install it.

Brief Introduction

MintStick is a simple graphical interface which we can easily create a bootable USB stick, as also format the pen-drive / memory card as NTFS, EXT3, EXT4, FAT or any other format.
This application is being developed and maintained by Clement Lefebvre ( Overal project and developer ) from Linux Mint.

Debian 9.3 with XFCE Desktop -:- Mintstick 1.3.5 

How to

Installing it on Debian 9.x / 8.x based systems ( Stretch / Jessie )
Open your terminal ( CRT+T), then copy and paste the follow command lines
  • wget -O mintstick_1.3.5_all.deb https://bit.ly/mintstick135alldeb
  • su
  • gdebi mintstick_1.3.5_all.deb

If you aren't pleased with this new version, you can always remove it
  • su
  • apt-get rm mintstick_1.3.5_all

PS: If you don't have installed Gdebi on your system, just copy and paste the follow command lines
  • su
  • apt install gdebi
